2023, Travancinha,Central Portugal.

 

Quinta da Lua Nova is a beautiful house, renovated with passion by Mario & Milko. The views are breathtaking with unique rock formations at the foot of the imposing Serra de Estrela. 

Unfortunately, this entire region suffers from regular wilfdfires. The vast and rocky landscape makes it very difficult to control fast growing and highly flammable vegetation.  

 

The last wilfdfire destroyed another 500 young trees when it raged trough the valley.

The owners of the Quinta were devastated and  Linde's land became unavailable for her 6 horses. It is a Perfect match.

"The Cavalos Bombeiros" were born.

 

The horses moved to the land and grew slowly to a happy herd of 15 horses. 

Plans changed, goals needed redefing, mistakes made and lessons learned.

We will continue to transform and improve this project with the solide foundation of our 3  main pillars:

• Fire prevention trough the grazing of horses. 

• Promoting Animal welfare 

• Horse Power for humans
